I apologize for the lack of Friday Finds last week. We've been staging and consulting on many homes and there just wasn't enough time to put it all together for you last week. This week, I'm cheating a little and sharing some of the homes we've worked on recently because they are all really GREAT finds! I hope you'll enjoy the chance to view four very different homes we've had the pleasure of working with. -ONE- Listing information: Parkdale Dr This beauty in Allendale Place is so convenient to everything! We staged this completely remodeled home, keeping with it's mid century style and highlighted the open floorplan and sun filled spaces! -TWO- Listing information: Marina Village Luxury living at the lake! We staged this condo using the occupant's furnishings as well as bringing in some of our own accessories to help keep the spaces light and bright, being sure to draw attention to the views. -THREE- Listing Information: Echo Hills Dr I am so in love with the high ceilings and backyard oasis in this Avery Ranch stunner and so were buyers as this one went under contract within 3 days! We provided a home staging consultation and offered recommendations to our client to pop some vibrant color into the spaces and show off the square footage by storing and rearranging furnishings. -FOUR- Listing Information: Vaughan St The Mueller community is such a vibrant hub in Austin, close to downtown and the University of Texas. This 2 story charmer went under contact within 1 week! We provided a home staging consultation offering recommendations on room layout, color, items to pack up and store and brought in a cozy rug to help soften the look and connect the new furniture arrangement.
I hope you've enjoyed peeking in on a few of our latest projects! I enjoyed working on every one of them and look forward to bringing you more of the projects we have in the works soon. Enjoy this beautiful weekend! -Jeanne

With temps reaching 90 here in Austin today, it feels like we're skipping right over Spring and headed right into Summer. I'm not at all ready to start the long, hot summer over here, so we're talking about Spring Home ideas on today's Friday Finds. -ONE- -TWO- Planning to spruce up the front door for Spring curb appeal? Becki Owens gives you tons of paint color ideas! -THREE- As I'm working on cleaning up our back patio, this outdoor rug caught my eye! All indoor/outdoor rugs are currently 20% off at World Market . -FOUR- This DIY faux succulent planter is great for those of us lacking a green thumb! Great way to add pops of green to your home for Spring. Enjoy your weekend! -Jeanne Welcome back to Friday Finds! This weeks' finds have a bit of a theme and I've implemented a few of them in my own home, with a few more on the to do list- "bang for your buck" home updates. -ONE- Affordable flushmount lighting options If you've never heard of the dreaded "boob light", take a look up at any builder installed flushmount lighting and see if it reminds you of....*ahem*....a boob. If not, great, but if you have one, Erin Gates of Elements of Style gives you so many beautiful, affordable options to upgrade. -TWO- Installing board and batten We used this tutorial to turn a plain, unused wall in the hallway leading to our garage into a "mudroom" so that jackets, backpacks, purses, etc. had a home instead of landing on the kitchen counter. Centsational Girl posted this tutorial back in 2011 and it is still one of my favorite, inexpensive updates we've made in our home to combat the clutter. -THREE- Add a barn door A barn door adds so much character in the home! They are great space savers for rooms that have a door that opens into the space and a great way to give an open room some privacy. There are so many tutorials available from a full DIY project to ordering the door and hardware to your specifications and DIY'ing the installation. Z Design at Home walks you through the process of purchasing the door and hardware through Artisan Hardware as well as the DIY install, while Anissa from House Seven DIY'ed the door AND the hardware. I can't wait to build one for our master bath. -FOUR- Frame a builder grade mirror ,If we ever finish painting our kitchen cabinets, this project is next on the list, to finish off our son's bathroom makeover. Such a quick and inexpensive bang for your buck project. Cherished Bliss gives you all the details on this DIY rustic wood frame. If you're not up for building the frame yourself, Mirror Mate has lots of great designs to choose from. That's all for this week! Enjoy the weekend and let me know if you've made any "bang for your buck" updates to your home. I'd love to feature your projects.
-Jeanne Welcome to this week's Friday Finds, where I share all things home that have caught my eye the past week. Enjoy your weekend! If you haven't checked out Shop Thirds, you'll want to see their handcrafted homewares and apothecary highlighting artists from all over the country. I love accessorizing with their pieces both in my staged homes as well as my own home. This is a great article from Lowes on how to choose the right white paint color This "in progress" laundry room-mudroom makeover would inspire me to do the laundry! I need that tile in my life! Did you know that you can shop TJ Maxx online? I use round mirrors in every home. Great article on using round mirrors and links to several great options.
Happy Friday all! I'm so frequently asked where I shop for home accessories and furniture, where I've found a specific piece or where to go to get great home related ideas. To help answer those questions, I'm kicking off a series called Friday Finds and I hope you'll check it out each week as a great resource for all things home. Friday Finds is a weekly series of links and loves I've come across that have inspired me throughout the week and I hope will inspire you! I'll be sharing some of the great home decor items I've seen or used as well as helpful links to great information for all homeowners. Feel free to comment to let me know about a specific topic you'd like to see featured on Fridays Finds. This week's finds: Confused on what paint colors to choose when staging a home? Ours will be full of final tax prep as well as some outdoor fun in this gorgeous Spring ATX weather! Last week, we had the pleasure of staging this Alan Muskin built home in Bouldin and it is now on the market and ready for someone to call home!
Known as one of Austin's premiere home builders, The Muskin Company is committed to environmentally friendly construction and has been awarded several accolades including Custom Builder of the Year by the Austin Board of Realtors. This home in Bouldin Creek offers custom concrete counters, polished concrete floors, shaker wood cabinetry, three spacious patios including a rooftop deck and much more. Using pops of oranges and greens and lots of texture in our staging, we worked to give this truly unique property a warm, vibrant look that will highlight the custom features. This beautifully renovated home in Allandale Place has a very large, open floor plan and lots of mid century touches. The vintage fireplace in the family room is a standout feature! Tour it in person this Sunday, 3/26 at 1 pm. Listing information and full tour here: www.redfin.com/TX/Austin/8111-Parkdale-Dr-78757/home/31497316 Before I had the chance to share this beauty we staged last Wednesday, it received multiple offers! This home, originally built in 1960 in the Southern Oaks subdivision, was rehabbed by my client, yet much of the original charm stayed in place. One stand out feature is the screened in porch which kept it's mid-century style and was a hit with buyers. Modern staging with a few mid century touches highlight this light filled, open floor plan.

I'm very excited to give you a tour of our first vacant staging project of 2017 at The Milago Condominiums building! This unit on popular Rainey St is a spacious 3rd floor unit, has 2 bedrooms/2 baths, a HUGE outdoor patio/entertaining space and wood floors throughout along with the buildings many amenities. We gave it a modern look with many streamlined furniture pieces, yet kept it cozy with warm woods, textured rugs and pillows and layered accessories. Hope you enjoy the look!
